At ATK Foods, there really is a person named Amylu. She is not only our chief executive officer, she is an innovative leader who works closely with customers to create and develop healthier, tastier and better-for-you products that keep consumers returning to foodservice operations day after day after day. In fact…those are Amylu’s initials that appear in our name — ATK Foods stands for “Amylu Tiahnybik Kurzawski.”
Amylu was a pioneer of the chicken sausage category, beginning research and development in 1992 and introducing her first five products under the Sausages by Amylu brand in 1994. Since then, the line of products has expanded to more than 50 flavor profiles and, more recently, into product formats beyond sausages, such as burgers and meatballs. All Amylu branded products feature simple, clean ingredients, do not contain any artificial ingredients or preservatives, are lower in fat, high in protein and are gluten-free.
Amylu also continues to manufacture a wide range of traditional ethnic and specialty sausages, many of which are made with the same Old World recipes that her grandfather Leon Tiahnybik brought with him from Europe when he founded the company in 1924.
Amylu’s vision for the company and her products is simple and direct:
